4 EASY Make-Ahead Breakfasts for Busy Mornings – Allergy Friendly!

Easy Make-Ahead Breakfast Recipes

It’s That Time of Year for Some Easy Make-Ahead Breakfast Recipes..

I don’t even know how it’s possible, but our summer is officially over in this house one week from today. School is back in session for my boys…

So we are in that last week of enjoying no schedules, no where to be, no homework, and no early rushed mornings…and did I mention no homework?

Last summer, some of you may remember that this is the week that I instilled Operation Bore-the-Pants-Off-Them. After a summer packed with so much fun, I made the last week of summer so boring that they couldn’t wait for that first day of school.

And in case you’re wondering…I’m putting that operation back into effect for the next seven days…since it worked so well last year and all. 😉

And while I may be a little bit excited to get back into our routine, I am not really looking forward to those crazy busy mornings of trying to get out of the door on time so no one ends up with a tardy slip.

To make sure our bums are out the door on time, I’ve been doing a bit of breakfast planning for some make-ahead healthy nutritious breakfasts. I also have pulled out my Printable List of 50+ Allergy-Friendly Lunch and Snack Ideas so that I can prep some healthy lunches as well.

Below are four of my favorite make-ahead breakfasts to get everyone up and at ’em and out the door…all with a nutritious meal in the bellies to fuel the brain cells!

So… pick a couple recipes to make before schools starts. Make a double batch and stock the fridge and freezer. You will be on your way to getting those kiddos out the door with a healthy meal and you out the door with a good dose of your sanity left!

And then go and print off your Allergy-Friendly Lunch List of Ideas… so that lunch-packing is a breeze as well! 😉

 First Up…

Easy Make-Ahead Breakfast Recipes

Make this Oatmeal Breakfast Cake the night before and throw it in the oven in the morning. It is full of healthy ingredients and will last you all week long in the fridge. This is a huge kid favorite around here…especially since I call it “cake”… little do they know how healthy it is. 😉

Make-Ahead Breakfast Recipes

These Pumpkin Pie Waffles are another easy make-ahead breakfast. Make a big batch of these on the weekend and then just freeze them. During the week, you can just pull out what you need, pop them in the toaster for a few minutes and you are good to go. These are full of healthy ingredients, including pumpkin, and are great served with a hard-boiled egg (if you can do eggs) or some bacon or sausage, and some fresh fruit.

Number Three…

Easy Breakfast Recipes

This Maple Vanilla Granola is an absolute staple in our house. I order these oats because I know they are gluten-free AND safe for my family. This recipe takes only about 5 minutes to throw together. You make it the night before. Throw it in the oven for a while. Shut the oven off. LEAVE the granola in the shut oven overnight and you have perfect granola in the morning. This recipe is packed with protein, omegas, and fiber and a great way to start your day. The recipe, as written, lasts us about a week…so I usually double or even triple it.

And finally…

Vegan Energy Bites - A perfect healthy snack

These Vegan NO-BAKE Energy Bites are a great way to start your day. I like to actually press the “dough” into an 8×8 baking pan and then slice them into bars instead of rolling them into balls. They last a good week in the fridge and boast a punch of protein, a hit of Omegas, and are totally nutrient dense.

They are naturally gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, soy-free, and nut-free (though you can easily add nuts to these too).

For a treat that takes only 5 minutes to throw together, you really can’t go wrong by keeping these stashed in the fridge for a quick and healthy breakfast treat! Pair with some fresh fruit and you are good to go.

There…now you have some simple breakfasts for when your hectic mornings start up again, if they haven’t already. At least you’ll have some peace of mind that you all are getting out the door with a good nutritious meal to fuel your day (and your brain)…
