I have no idea how I missed this post before!! Boy, did I miss out ... on the recipe itself and all the bantering going on--TOOOO funny! I do remember now reading that Maggie had made this recipe when she adopted you. Oh, you know what? It looks like you posted this when I was entertaining the girls for our event-filled weekend. I feel better now! Can't wait to make this one, Kim, and I'm tickled pink that you'll be having a scratch-and-lick site soon. That's bound to be a runaway winner in the food blogging world (gf or not)!

Kim,

I was derailed after the first 2 sentences of this post. "Normal blogging schedule?" Really? People have blogging schedules? Normal ones?

No wonder I'm always lost in the dust when it comes to blogging. =)

Oh well, what is most fun about blogging is finding wonderful recipes like this one. I love asparagus and grilling it like you've done here is an excellent idea. It's a lot hotter where you are, but I'm with you on keeping the oven off and using other methods. Love the addition of tomatoes and balsamic vinegar. This recipe really does sound good. It's a "keeper."

Peace, love and "normal" blogging (for some anyway)!

I made this last night. We had company over and they loved it also. This is a really good summer recipe. I used red grape tomatoes and it came out really good. We went dairy free no cheese. But still great.
Thanks so much.

Oh my, intolerantChef! That is really hot! I hear you on the idea that eating (and cooking) seem like too much effort! That is why I am on the lookout for easy ones all summer long! ;)

Hi Sarena!! I hate that the hubbies are right on this one. LOL I wish that it made a difference to use it earlier in the day. But, unfortunately, come mid-summer, our morning temps are already in the 90's. Blek. ;)

Hey Maggie!! I hope you found some asparagus!! And yes. To answer your question...we are totally living in the pool! Although, right now we are in California at the beach. It was a good time to get out of dodge with temps hitting close to 110 this week!!
